Returns
We totally get it — some hairpieces need additional customisations before you fall completely in love with them. By making these minor tweaks, you may avoid needing to return them.
If you don’t live in South Australia or simply can’t make it to our Adelaide salon to personalise your new alternative hairpiece, you might prefer your hairdresser to add bangs, face frames, or soft layers to make it more personal to you and your style.
We do recommend reading our helpful Hair Care Guides, including “How to” videos on making a hairpiece perfect for you. You can always contact us for advice — we’re always happy to help!
If you decide that your hairpiece isn’t perfect, Beverly May Hair accepts returns on all hair toppers purchased online.
Please note, we DO NOT accept returns on:
- in-store purchases
- sale items
- toppers if the lace is cut or any modifications are made
Following the below criteria, you might be eligible for a refund (minus a restock fee) or full store credit. Please note that our restock fee is A$200.
Return for refund

If you wish to return your Beverly May Hair product, please send an email to info@beverlymay.com.au. We’ll need your name and order number (this can be found in your confirmation email).

Please ship the item back to us within 72 hours of signing. This will give you plenty of time to try on the alternative hair.

After 72 hours, the sale is final — no exceptions. Please note, shipping time frames are not included in that 72 hours.

Once we receive your hair and inspect it to ensure it is in its original condition (check our Terms and Conditions for details on original condition), please allow seven (7) days for us to inspect your item upon return.

We issue you a refund via the method you originally paid, minus a restock fee.

We DO NOT accept returns for IN-STORE PURCHASES or SALE ITEMS (i.e. items purchased on a sale or promotion).

Items must be in ORIGINAL CONDITION. They may be tried on for suitability purposes only. The item must not be altered in any way, including using heat tools, cutting lace or washing. The item must remain odour-free; this includes styling products, cigarette smoke and perfume.

Items must be in the original packaging, with all tags attached and all clips closed (where applicable).

All items must be shipped by courier or registered post with tracking and signature on delivery. We highly recommend also purchasing insurance in case of loss or damage. Beverly May Hair is not responsible for items not received.

For international returns, you must state “Returned Goods” on the Customs Declaration Form to the retailer. Failing to do so may incur Tax/Duty charges.

Any Duties/Taxes charged will be deducted from your refund.

Shipping costs, credit card charges and any other fees are non-refundable.

International taxes and duties are not paid to Beverly May Hair and are non-refundable by us. It may be possible to receive a refund of customs duties paid, when goods you bought have been returned to the seller. You will need to contact your country’s customs service.

Goods and Services Tax (GST) paid by Australian buyers will be fully refunded with your refund.

The Australian dollar is the functional currency of Beverly May Hair. If you paid in another currency, the amount may vary to the amount you paid due to the currency exchange rate. You may receive more or less than you originally paid in your currency, but you will be refunded the AUD cost amount paid for the item.

A refund will be issued to the same payment method used to purchase the item and can take 7—10 days to process.
- Shipping protection is a non-refundable service. If you return your order for a refund, the shipping protection fee will not be refunded.
We check tracking information for the date the item was delivered and inspect items condition thoroughly on return. Your return may not be accepted if you fail to meet the above criteria and the item will therefore be returned to you at your expense.
Custom orders
At this stage, we are not providing custom orders. The toppers are as listed on the website. Please stay tuned for this in the upcoming future.
At the checkout, you’ll be asked to agree to the Terms and Conditions before proceeding with your order. By agreeing to the Terms and Conditions, you acknowledge that you understand and will adhere to them.
Return for exchange
There is no exchange on products returned, however, you can apply for a full refund following the steps above.
Cancellations
All cancellations made before the item has been shipped will incur a fee of A$90, which will be deducted from the refund.
Faulty items
It's highly unlikely a fault will be missed, but accidents can happen. If any item is deemed faulty, we will happily offer a repair or replacement.
Please inspect the item thoroughly once you receive it. Before making any alterations, such as cutting the lace, you must contact us within the 72-hour return window if you believe the item is faulty. We cannot accept claims of fault on items that have been altered in any way.
To inform us of a suspected fault:

You will be required to send photos of the issue.

If requested, return the item to us for inspection and if it is deemed faulty, we’ll replace it and reship it to you. Please note that wait times may apply.
Cancellation Policy
When you book an initial consult with Beverly May Hair, we set that time and stylist just for you.
If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice or simply do not show up to your appointment, it impacts us significantly and inconveniences many other clients that have been turned away because we were fully booked.
We require a minimum of 24 hours notice if you wish to cancel or re-schedule your appointment. The consult fee is non-refundable if you can cancel with less than 24 hours notice or do not show up on the day.
If you reschedule with more than 24 hours prior to your appointment, the payment will carry over to your new time.
In order to secure your appointment, we require the $100 consultation fee to be paid at the time of booking. This $100 covers the cost of your appointment and is fully redeemable on alternative hair purchased within 4 weeks of the consult.
- If the appointment is rescheduled with more than 24 hours notice, the consult fee is forwarded to the new appointment time.
- If a cancellation is made with less than 24 hours notice, the consult fee is forfeited as a late cancellation fee.
- If you simply do not show up to a booked appointment, the consult fee is forfeited as a no-show fee.
